Environmental Analytical Chemistry
The line of research in Environmental Analytical Chemistry seeks to form new researchers through the development of methodologies and analytical procedures aiming at application in environmental samples, especially water, food and soil. There are techniques related to detection of:
- Pesticides.
- Metals.
- Emerging contaminants.
In these arrays are used chromatographic techniques, spectrophotometric and electrochemical, and studies of advanced oxidation processes and adsorbent materials to prevent and remedy environmental problems resulting from pollution. It develops research on the chemical speciation of elements, water quality and eutrophication of water bodies of semiarid and the development of techniques for preparing environmental samples for analysis.
