Catalysis
Catalysis research area from PPGQ-UFC is dedicated to the followings studies:
- Catalytic processes such as dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to produce styrene.
- Dry reforming of methane to obtain hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
- Biodiesel production.
- Glycerol transformation for bioproducts and biofuels production.
- n-Octane hydroisomerization.
- Aldol condensation reactions are studied to understand their catalytic mechanisms.
- Aditionally, various methods of synthesis as well as characterizations techiques are investigated to correlate them to the catalytc properties of the solids.
